Paris Haute Couture week kicked off yesterday in style with John Galliano, the couturier at Christian Dior putting on a spectacular show for all eager fashion fans.

Galliano's theme of going Dutch was clearly very appealing to the celeb fans, who turned out in force to watch the lavish catwalk collection take centre stage.

Burlesque star Dita Von Teese was pictured in the front row of the show, lapping up all the intricate and over-the-top designs. She has become a firm supporter of Dior, often being papped at one of their shows.

She caused a stir last season when she attended the Dior fall event in Paris, as she was pictured alongside fellow fashionistas Lily Allen, Katy Perry and Emma Watson.

Looking immaculate yesterday in a pale grey dress with decorated sleeves and a corsage in her hair, Dita was the epitome of elegant couture, finishing her look with her signature red lippy.

After the shown Dita told Reuters, "It was my kind of thing. The theatrics speak to me as a showgirl. It is good to know there are other people who appreciate this kind of thing-beading, rhinestone, feathers."

Mischa Barton was also in attendance, although she looked in stark contrast to Dita's polished look. In fact, we'd go as far as to suggest she resembled a bag lady of sorts, with a massive floppy hat, oversized cardigan, a messy tuxedo shirt, pants and converse.

We hope she got changed for later events, or this lady is in massive danger of loosing her once fashionable crown.

Giorgio Armani Privé also showed yesterday and didn't disappoint with a oriental inspired collection, which managed to draw in the likes of Glenn Close and Lady Helen Taylor. Ooo, posh!
