Girls Aloud

Girls Aloud

Last night’s Music Industry Trust Awards attracted some of the most stylish ladies in music, including Girls Aloud, minus Nadine, and the Sugababes. It also brought some of the more unstylish women out too - Sharleen Spiteri we'll get to you later.

Girls Aloud looked polished as always, with Kimberley Walsh really stealing the show for us. Her black dress fitted like a glove, clinging to all her curves and highlighting her teeny tiny waist.

The leopard print shoes stopped the outfit from looking a bit plain and the patterned clutch bag looks so cool. The slick of bright lipstick turns her into a real classic beauty.

Sarah also earned her style points in this strapless mini dress in this season's it colour, purple. The short dress and high peep toe heels gave her endless legs and it was refreshing to see that she, like band mate Nicola had gone easy on the fake tan for once.

Cheryl shows how accessories can make an outfit with her red belt turning a simple black and grey dress into something special.

Nicola has chosen peach and gold shades to complement her pale complexion. The ruffled prom dress is so cute and looks great on her, as do the strappy shoes but we're not to sure on that Chanel belt. It looks a little try hard to us.

The Sugababes channeled the glam Gothic look in their black outfits. We love all of their statement shoes, chunky waist defining belts and bright red lips but it's Amelle's embellished dress that we're putting on our Christmas wish list. One shoulder dresses are so hot right now it hurt's and the sequin detail on top looks fabulous.

Keisha must have read our article on shoeboots last week because she's snapped up a fab pair. We love her tulip skirt too but she hasn't put much effort into the top half of her outfit, it looks more like something you'd pop to the shops in than red carpet attire.

The same goes for Heidi, love the skirt but not the top. The sparkly gaping top would look more at home on Jodie Marsh than the lovely Heidi and that peekabo bra is far too tacky. We love you Heidi but not your top.

Alesha Dixon hit the high streets and picked up this gorgeous River island bodycon dress. It seems all the celebs are after it as we showed you Alex from The X Factor in it last week. We also love the fact that Alesha's managed to keep warm and stylish in this military style jacket. Good work girl!

Sophie Ellis Bextor does old school Hollywood glamour in this simple black dress and vintage looking bag. She added a pair of nude heels which are great for elongating her legs and those earrings are enough sparkle to keep this outfit sparkling. Sophie's let her make up do the talking with bright pink lips and matching nails. A slick of green eyeshadow completes the look.

So from the good to the bad. Ex Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri obviously heard that tomato red was in this season so she covered herself in it, talk about overkill. She looks more like a dinner lady to pop star to us. Also it looks like she's not totally over Halloween and has left her witch's costume shoes on. Sharleen try just a splash of red next time.
