Lady GaGa has proclaimed herself a role model for the not so beautiful and unpopular.
The eccentric singer apparently wants to send out a positive message to young women, telling AAP in Sydney: "The truth is what I'm a role model for is the ability to change culture.
"The ability for a young woman who may not be the most popular girl in school or the most beautiful or the best at everything to bust her arse and never give up and make something of herself. So if that's not a good message, I don't know what else is."
GaGa has constantly hit headlines for her outlandish fashion sense and is even rumoured to be launching a clothing line later this year.
Her refreshing attitude to style has won her heaps of style praise, and she remains pretty about that.
"I have not made a career out of being this incredibly beautiful supermodel of a woman, that was plucked off of a television series.
"I'm a decidedly eccentric young girl with a weird style who changed people's minds," she added.
That's one way of putting it!
