Katie Holmes has reverted back to her old style
We were aghast last week when we learned that Katie Holmes' startling new look cost her a whopping £30,000, but we were even more surprised when she appeared to ditch her look the very next day.
So what the heck happened? Well, apparently Katie was under orders to smarten herself up and according to Grazia her radical make-over, was overseen by hubby Tom Cruise and the Church of Scientology.
Under their orders she apparently had two days of pampering at a spa, and attendants to tend to her every beauty, fashion and hair whim. Anyone else considering converting, right now?!
Her make-over was reportedly an attempt to overhaul her downtrodden image, which has been portrayed by the media over the past twelve months.
She has been pictured looked haggard and ill, with bags under her eyes, greasy hair and crooked teeth, sparking fears that something was seriously wrong with the young star.
However, all was forgotten when she joined Tom on the red carpet for his Valkyrie premiere in Tokyo, as for once Katie drew glances for all the right reasons, even topping best dressed lists the next day.
Since then though, Katie appears to have ditched her expensive look and gone back to her old ways. Gone are the glossy extensions and glowing skin, to be replaced with a short bob and very little make-up.
Considering she spent a small fortune on upping the glamour factor, we can't believe she's reverted back to her old look so quickly. Perhaps it was all for show, to make sure she didn't upstage Tom too much on the night?
She's a busy working mother, granted, and she does look a million times better than the ordinary lady, but to suddenly champion a new style one moment and then ditch it the next, is a little bizarre to say the least.
We're wondering where on earth that sweet girl from Dawson's Creek has gone, as we may have seen a glimpse of her return last week, but since then she's most definitely gone into hiding again.
