Marc Jacobs, you should know better!

Marc Jacobs is by far one of our favourite designers, he creates amazing outfits, dressed himself as a camel toe and convinced Victoria Beckham to pose with her legs akimbo in a Marc Jacobs bag. Fashion royalty he may be but that doesn't mean he is not prone to a disaster outfit himself.

The aforementioned camel toe should mean that it comes as no surprise that Marc has earned a place in our Designers Dressed Badly Hall of Fame but nevertheless we are still shocked.

We expect to see Marc looking dapper in a smart suit not rocking up to events in a black kilt and graffiti patterned tights.

Marc chose this ensemble to wear to the Cinema Society and Nextbook screening of "Defiance" at the Landmark's Sunshine Cinema in New York last week and we've more than a few problems with it.

We believe that pleated skirts should be kept exclusively in the wardrobes of schoolgirls and maybe on special occasions Scottish men. New York born Marc has no excuse.

We've a sneaky feeling those yellow patterned tights may form part of Louis Vuitton's Stephen Sprouse tribute but we don't care. They are not the eveningwear we expect of a man of his style caliber.

Finally the coat. Not only is Marc drowning in it the coat makes it a hat trick of different shades of black in this outfit. Surely a fashion law has been broken somewhere here?

Oh and Marc, get a shave.

Really you should know better. We expect to see you suited and booted next time.
