With the recession really starting to bite, we couldn't help but notice that celebs seem to be taking notice, and using their favourite fashion items again and again.
Don't believe us? What about Posh and her trilby obsession? Our first lady of style was papped in the same trilby three times at the end of last year, which may not seem like a lot, but don't forget this is Victoria Beckham we're talking about.
She has a different handbag each day, a new pair of 'it' shoes for every eventuality and her wardrobe, we imagine, is jam packed with new designer gear, so why sport the same look so often?
Well, there are a few options here, maybe she was having a bad hair day, or simply wanted to cover up a bad make-up job? Either that or perhaps she simply liked the style, who knows!
Kate Moss is guilty of this too and she is supposed to be one of the fashion leaders, yet we only ever see her in some skinny jeans and a blazer. Maybe she updates her look somewhat with a new T-shirt or a belt, but essentially she always looks the same.
We get it, we really do. Once you find something which either looks or feels great on you, you stick to it- it's human nature. And maybe the credit crunch is having some impact on how the celebs are dressing now too.
Where we once looked up to them and wanted to replicate each fashion look they gave us, in these harsh economic times that's no longer possible.
Lily Allen and her Chanel handbag obsession had lead the high-street to churn out lookalike copies for as little as £6, so we too can get the look. And what does Lily go an do? She goes and gets a new one-of-a-kind Russian doll bag the very next day... over to you Primark!
There are some celebs who have committed minor fashion recurrences too, such as Cheryl Cole and her wet look legging obsession, or Coleen Rooney and her UGG boot fetish.
It does give us hope however, that if celebs are turning back to what they know and love best, we too can feel free to do the same. The result- we save money and get a celeb inspired look all at the same time!
