The hugely popular battle royale game was released this month and sees players battle it out across a variety of mini games to be named the ultimate champion.

And now, developers at Mediatonic have teased the upcoming content for Season 2 of the title, which will see new medieval mini games and costumes added to the game to keep content fresh and exciting.

Introducing the upcoming additions during Gamescom Opening Night Live, lead designer Joe Walsh said: "I just wanted to reach out and say thank you to everyone who has been playing and enjoying the game so far. As a team, we've been looking at all the fan art, the memes, and the montages that people are posting online, and the response to the game has really blown us away.

"Today, we just wanted to give everyone their first sneak peak at the rounds and the costumes they can be enjoying as part of 'Fall Guys' Season 2."

The new season won't start for over a month, but when it does begin, players will be able to unlock costumes including a dragon, knight, Viking, wizard, and witch.

Short snippets of the new games that were shown in the 90-second video include one mode in which players have to jump over walls in a race to the finish, as well as dodging swinging axes, traversing over giant drawbridges, and physically moving ramps and platforms in order to shape the level to suit their needs.

The news comes after Joe previously said Mediatonic wants to get 'Fall Guys' to a place where a player has a completely different experience every time they play.

He explained: "It's a lofty goal and it's going to take a while to get there but I think that's the biggest focus for the team right now."
