The 39-year-old TV star - who lost her singer husband Nick Cordero to the virus back in 2020 - took to Instagram to share with fans that she will not be appearing in her regular role on 'The Talk' while she isolates.

She said: "My @thetalkcbs family! Unfortunately I tested positive for COVID and will be missing some days at work until my quarantine is over. I am feeling completely normal now and feel very grateful for that. I am vaccinated and boosted which is very much putting me at ease."

The former Broadway star - who has two-year-old son Elvis with her late husband - explained that this is the "first time" she has ever tested positive for the virus before quipping that she will be using the time at home to potty train her toddler.

She wrote: "This is the first time I’ve tested positive since the pandemic. I will hopefully be back to work soon but taking this time at home with Elvis to start potty training!! Wish me luck as I run after a naked toddler for the next three days. Any advice please leave below."

Amanda previously opened up about how she is determined to keep Nick's memory alive after he succumbed to the virus at the age of 41.

She said: "I am just so persistent [about] keeping [Elvis] aware that his dada is around. We listen to Nick's music all the time. As soon as I put on 'Live Your Life,' he starts banging his head like he's in a rock band. It's the cutest thing. We have pictures of Nick everywhere. " We talk about Nick all the time. It's hard to say… what he knows or what he thinks, but I do think that he knows that dada is somewhere. I think that Nick comes and visits him and spends time with him. I really do."
