The woman and the animal were photographed taking the underground by playwright Max Sparber who took to Twitter to share the odd sighting.
He captioned the post on the micro-blogging site: ''Sure, you're Goth, but are you dejectedly riding the subway with your raven Goth? (sic)''
Many social media users think she was using the larger-bodied species to ensure she had a seat on the train.
