Man tries to pay bill with trillion dollar note
A man tried to pay a restaurant bill with a trillion dollar note.
Michael Williams, from Sumter, South Carolina in the south-eastern United States tried to pay the tab with the high value note after his credit card was declined during a meal out on Valentine's Day (14.02.14), according to thestate.com.
Staff at the Applebee's outlet weren't fooled by the 53-year-old's trillion dollar bill and quickly rang the police.
Mr Williams was picked up by authorities at the scene who ignored his claims of being a trillionaire and arrested him over a pending contempt of a magistrate's court charge instead.
