'Holby City's Carli Norris is set to make a brief appearance in 'EastEnders' next year as Kat Moon's sister Belinda Slater.
The 42-year-old actress, who is known for playing deceitful agency nurse Fran Reynolds in the BBC One medical drama, has agreed to do a guest stint as the posh wannabe - originally portrayed by Leanne Lakey - as her loud-mouthed alter-ego returns to wreak havoc on Albert Square.
Carli said: "Becoming one of the Slater's is an absolute dream, especially to be part of such a big storyline."
Belinda, who hasn't returned to the Square since 2003, will strut into Walford following the heartbreaking death of her father Charlie (Derek Martin) on New Year's Eve (31.12.15).
But will then find herself at loggerheads with her quirky sister Kat (Jessie Wallace) before she meets a tragic end in a "tearjerker" storyline, which is set to shake the Slater family.
A spokesman for the soap said: "With sisters being sisters, will they see past each other's faults and manage to get their relationship back on track for the sake of the family?"
Meanwhile, this isn't the first time Carli has joined the cast of 'EastEnders' as she previously starred as Alice McMahon in 1998 before making a name for herself in 'Hollyoaks' due to her portrayal of strong-willed mother Martha Kane in 2012.
