Channel 5 have announced the lead cast for their new crime drama 'Suspects'.
Fay Ripley, Damien Molony and Clare-Hope Ashitey will be taking the reigns with improvised dialogue and unique filming techniques throughout the show.
Ripley takes on the role of warm and witty D.I. Martha Bellamy, motherly and overprotective of her team.
D.S. Jack Weston will be played by Molony, with a killer instinct and charm alongside acute emotional intelligence.
Rounding off the team is Ashitey as D.C. Charlotte 'Charlie' Steele - an officer with a keen eye for detail and instincts that help her get to the heart of an investigation - she truly believes the police make a difference.
Paul Marquess, Managing Director, Newman Street says: “Working without a script means that you need actors who are confident, intelligent and articulate. Fay, Clare and Damien have wholeheartedly embraced this very new process; the results have a spontaneity about them that is fresh, engaging and hugely watchable.“
'Suspects' is to air on Channel 5 in the New Year.
