Peter Davison's son has joined the new series of 'Poldark'.
The former 'Doctor Who' star's son Louis Davison has jumped on board the fourth instalment of the period drama after bosses chose him to replace Harry Marcus as Geoffrey Charles in the show, and he's certainly settled into his new part well as he was photographed in his alter egos lavish ensemble on set on Tuesday (05.09.17).
The news that he's joined the cast was confirmed on the show's official Twitter account as they shared the shot of him grinning at the camera with his character's hat in hand.
The photo was accompanied with the caption: "Our new Geoffrey Charles - Louis Davison! Welcome to team #Poldark. (sic)"
Louis' older sister Georgia Tennant - who's married to David Tennant - couldn't resist congratulating her sibling on his success on her Twitter account shortly afterwards.
She said: "What a terribly proud big sister I am. Legend. #poldark #bbc #louisdavison (sic)"
And Harry was equally impressed with his replacement as he said: "A massive well done to Louis Davison the new GC! Give George hell you are going to have so much fun! #Poldark (sic)."
Meanwhile, although fans can't wait for the fourth series to hit screens, Aidan Turner - who plays the titular role in the hit BBC1 drama - has hinted that the fifth instalment will be the last.
He said recently: "I think we run out of things to do after series five, I think that would be our last one. Four was green-lit, five hasn't been yet, and it wouldn't be fair to me to green light it, but it's probably looking like it may happen."
