The reality TV couple, both 25, shot to fame when they won 'Love Island' in 2023, and on Monday (30.04.24) evening the pair revealed they are now set to tie the knot.
Kai wrote on Instagram: "Introducing the next Mrs Fagan.
"Beautiful, Caring, Loving and Smart are just some of the words that describe you. I love loving you, I love you and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you."
The proposal came as a complete surprise to Sanam, who updated followers on TikTok with a video shortly afterwards in which she explained that all she knew was that she had to dress "cute and warm" for their date night, which took place on a punting boat.
She said: "So I'm currently about to get ready for a date night with Kai that he has set up that I know nothing about. All I need know is that I need to dress cute and warm. I'm getting ready in my mum's house, I'm in my old room."
Later, the reality TV star admitted she didn't capture many videos of the magical moment, because she didn't see initially thought it was just a "random date night" Kai had set up.
She said: "Okay, the biggest thing just happened! We don't have many videos of the proposal but I did not expect or see this coming. I honestly thought it was just a random date night that Kai had put together but yeah, I am so shocked and happy!"
To finish the evening, the happy couple enjoyed a romantic meal out before heading back to a hotel room which had been kitted out with balloons, petals and a collection of photos from their time together.
Sanam added: "Did I just say yes to the cutest guy in the world?"
