Isy Suttie wants to play a killer knitter in 'EastEnders'.
The 'Peep Show' actress - who portrayed Dobby in the popular sitcom - is hoping her 'Damned' co-star Himesh Patel, who played Tamwar Masood in the BBC One soap, can put in a good word with the show's bosses for her, and she is keen to write the storyline herself.
She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I don't think I'm really in 'EastEnders' casting directors' minds, but maybe if I have a word with Himesh I could be.
"My character could be a knitter and she could knit something to cover her tracks, that's a good idea.
"I will write it. If the part gets made then nobody else can play my part, it can't be someone from 'Downton Abbey', it's got to be me."
As well as harbouring ambitions to appear in Walford at some point, Isy - who plays hapless receptionist Nat in 'Damned' - would love to get her teeth into some "serious" roles after getting a taste for drama while playing Esther Blanco in the final series of comedy-drama 'Shameless' in 2013.
He added: "I've mostly done comedy but the closest I've done to soaps is one episode of 'Holby City' and 'Shameless'.
"'Shameless' is a bit of a law unto itself. There were scenes that were quite serious, definitely, but I don't think it counts as serious, serious drama with lots of corsets and murders to be solved.
"I'd like to do some serious stuff."
