Fay Ripley has banned TVs and computers from every bedroom in her house.
While the 52-year-old actress is be a TV star, she is keen to make sure her family - including husband Daniel Lapaine, 48, and their children Parker, 15, and 11-year-old Sonny - don't spend too much time glued to screens.
She is quoted by the Daily Mail newspaper as saying: "It's a very difficult thing to manage.
"Nobody has any screens - TV, computer - us included, in their bedroom.
"I also use an app on my phone, OurPact, that allows me to block my daughter from using social media. You can get a bit power crazy with it though."
The 'Cold Feet' star will be back for another series of the comedy drama revival later this year, and she'll be glad to avoid a ratings battle with 'Poldark', which returns for a final run in the summer.
She recently said: "We shouldn't air at the same time as 'Poldark'.
"I'm too scared to be overtaken by him and all those amazing chests.
"Hopefully the 'Cold Feet' men won't take off their tops."
Her male cast mates - including James Nesbitt, Robert Bathurst and John Thomson - shouldn't take her tongue in cheek comments too personally though.
She joked: "I don't think more men should be getting their tops off on TV.
"I'm uncomfortable with nudity in a 1920s sort of way. Even in my own bedroom."
