Britain's Prince William shocked a schoolgirl by taking her phone and posing for a 'selfie'.
The Duke of Cambridge stunned 12-year-old Madison Lambe when he posed for a picture with her when she visited the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk, eastern England, on Christmas Day (25.12.13) to see the royal family's traditional walk from their house to church.
She explained: "I couldn't believe it when William came over to me and I asked for a picture. He just said to me 'you can't beat a good selfie on Christmas Day' and took the picture.
"It was really good, I didn't expect it.
"He was really nice and I was so excited. I've put the picture on Facebook. My friends think it is really good and they have been commenting on it."
William has clearly been taking tips on selfies - self-portrait photographs - from his father, Prince Charles, who posed for a picture with a schoolboy during a visit to the Coptic Orthodox Church Centre in Stevenage, Herefordshire, south east England, last month.
The youngster said: "I went up to him and said if I could take a photograph of him - and then, well, I didn't wait for the bodyguards to push me out of the way, I just took a picture."
