Prince Charles and Camilla
Britain's Prince of Wales will embark on a tour of India next month.
Charles and his wife the Duchess of Cornwall are set to visit the country between November 6 and 14 ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) leaders' meeting in Sri Lanka.
The 64-year-old royal is due to represent his mother, Queen Elizabeth, at the Commonwealth meeting, which is held every two years. This year will mark the first time since 1973 the monarch hasn't attended.
A Clarence House spokesperson said: "They will undertake a broad range of engagements to promote the strong UK-India partnership in key areas such as conservation, education, growing business links, women's empowerment and training.
"They will also have the opportunity to celebrate religious diversity, creativity and the vibrant individual family ties between the two countries."
During the couple's fourth official visit to India, they will travel to Dehradun, New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Kochi, to meet with the country's top political and business leaders, BBC News is reporting.
The pair will also be able to enjoy some down-time, including a Bollywood-themed gala dinner in Mumbai and a trip to meet wild elephants in Kerala.
During their visit to neighbouring Sri Lanka from November 15 to 17, Charles and Camilla are due to undertake royal visits to a mental health initiative, a hospital and a tea estate.
Their last visit to India in 2010 saw Charles open the Commonwealth Games in Delhi alongside former president Pratibha Patil.
