Don't give up on that Kinks reunion just yet, because it has never seemed so close, now that the warring Davies brothers are talking again.
Frontman Ray Davies has revealed he wants to work on new material with his brother Dave, ending the pair's long estrangement.
It will mark the first time the duo has worked together since 1996 when The Kinks split.
Davies tells a leading British newspaper that much depends on Dave's health - the guitarist suffered a stroke in 2004.
He says, "I suggested he do some low-key shows to see how well he can play. If we're going to play together again, we can't hit the road straight away with a big-time announcement... But, if Dave feels good about it and there's good new material that we can write, it'll happen."
