Fred’s House are one of the new bands to watch out for in 2013 and they release their debut single this week in the form of Fine Life.
They have already won over audiences on the live circuit and now the radio stations are getting on board - and it is not hard to see why.
Fine Life mixes a strong folk core with pop elements resulting in a truly terrific first single that shows off two very different sides to the band.
The opening to the track is slowly and the silky smooth vocal have a real floaty quality to it - the folk element to their sound really does come through in the first couple of minutes.
When the track hit’s the two minute mark the pace really picks up as they bring a pop side to their sound.
Fine Life is a hook laden track that really is a delight. This is a band that really does know how to harmonies and the coming together of voices really does deliver a beautiful sound.
Vix’s voice is just wonderful as it has a delicate sound to it at the start of the track but then she really shows off her range and power as the song progresses.
Pop/folk is a sound that we are hearing more and more of and Fred’s House are set to be the band to watch this year.
Fred’s House are a band that is well known in the Cambridgeshire area and now that are looking to conquer the rest of the UK - and they really have kicked their quest off in fine style.
