This week sees the return of Common Tongues with their new single Solitary Thinker - and these boys are a band to keep an eye on over the next twelve months.
It was back in 2010 when they band was formed and over the last year they have been making quite a name for themselves on the live circuit.
The band have an EP on the horizon and this is the first track to be lifted from it and if the rest of the record is like this then they are set to have huge success with it.
This is an incredibly powerful record as it starts out as an atmospheric and broody acoustic track as the vocal is supported beautifully by a guitar as well as a violin - both of these instruments create quite a feeling of sadness and melancholy.
But then almost out of now where the tempo picks up a bit and the track crescendos into a song that is packed with energy - not to mention it is incredibly catchy.
Solitary Thinker sees the band mix indie and folk elements to create a really great track that makes me quite excited to hear the rest of the EP.
