Dana Jade shows us what she is all about this week with the release of her debut album Dana Jade LP.
And if you don't know anything about Jade you may be a little surprised to hear the guitars ring out as this is a collection of rock tracks.
Eyes Like Cinder is the opening track on the album and this is a great way to kick off the record as there is a real sultry feel to this record.
Dana has almost a deep growl to her vocals and this gives each track quite an atmosphere, not to mention it ensures that she sounds very different to the other female vocalists that are out there at the moment.
She picks up the pace with Shudder as the guitars really kick in, and her vocals compliment the thumping strings well.
But there is a real tension that exists in every track and the likes of Jaded and Murky Tears have a real gothic vocals as the deep guitars support the even deeper vocals from Dana.
Murky Tears in particular is that track that stands out as the quietness of the track makes is quite sinister, which works just so wonderfully.
Dana Jade is a real rock chick who has created a sound that really does stand out from the crowd, you can see that she has been influenced by the likes of Shirley Manson and Courtney Love.
She has mixed her deep and rich vocals with great power chords, hooks and bridges that have created such an atmosphere on this record.
