Gem Archer

Gem Archer will return to Beady Eye next month.

The 46-year-old rocker insists that he's "on the mend" and has confirmed he will be playing with his band in November after tumbling down the stairs and fracturing his skull in August and, most recently, breaking his leg in two places.

Writing on the band's official website last night (03.10.13), he said: "Gem here saying a big thank you from the bottom of my being, to everyone for their kind words, wishes, messages and patience over the past weeks.

"I am on the mend, not gone round the bend and treading carefully whilst taking each day as a giant leap forward. I still consider myself lucky, who knows why things happen, but they do and it all could have been much worse but it wasn't.

"That was then and as of now, I can't wait to stand with a guitar in my hand alongside the rest of the boys, on a stage in front of some of you from November onwards. (sic)".

Beady Eye - consisting of Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell, Chris Sharrock, Jay Mehler and Gem - were forced to cancel a number of concert dates in the summer after the British star was hospitalised for the severe head trauma.

The group will embark on a nine-date tour in UK and Ireland next month, beginning in Dublin, Ireland, on November 7, before finishing up at London's Hammersmith Apollo on November 21.
