Duran Duran have cancelled their entire summer tour to allow frontman Simon Le Bon to rest his damaged vocal cords.
The Rio hitmakers were set to kick of their tour in Dublim next week but the group have had to scrap all their shows after physicians advised the singer to undergo physical therapy.
He tells Associated Press: "I am doing everything I can to work through this and get back on track as soon as possible."
It is not known if Duran Duran will reschedul their performances for a later date.
The band cancelled a string of dates of their UK tour in May after Le Bon fell ill with what was believed to be a throat infection.
After resting his voice for three weeks and undergoing a series of tests, it was still believed that he was too ill to perform and they were forced to axe five dates in mainland Europe.
The cancellations prompted guitarist John Taylor to release a statement: "You have no idea how disappointed we all are at the news that we won't be playing this weekend. We have been holding on to that hope while we waited to hear from the doctors. We know what this means to the fans, so many of whom are traveling (sic) tremendous distances to see us.
"It's hardest on Simon who is doing everything he can in terms of a recovery plan. We feel utterly powerless over the situation, as all we can do is wait for his injury."
