Cheltenham 5-piece, Stereo Influence return with their infectiously catchy new single ‘Edgar Allan Poe’ - out May 13th on Tapeworm Records/Square One Music.
Edgar Allan Poe is an eclectic melting-pot of clever riffs based on the great orator ‘Edgar Allan Poe’ who was considered part of the US romantic movement and is the next single to be lifted from their upcoming debut album ‘The Attachment’- which will be released later this year.
The bands unique blend of raunchy pop and ear-gripping lyrics are snowballing them to critical media acclaim as they can now boast multiple airplay performances including featured artists on Q Radio with their first 80's tinged single Minority, and heavy rotation on playlists across the country along with support from a host of TV rotations shows.
Stereo Influence are the brainchild of 17 year old singer/songwriter Marcello Costantinou. They came to the attention of noted record producer Mike Bennett (The Fall, The Specials and Ian Brown.
Bennett, who had also produced and remixed the likes of Toyah, Gregory Issacs and Jimmy Cliff, whisked the group off to Paul McCartney's famous LIPA studio's, and had them record 30 tracks, which featured guest appearances from the likes of Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Neville Staple (The Specials), Dianne Charlemaine (Moby/Goldie), and various members of Spacemen 3, and Spiritualised.
