Following his impressive run on Britain's Got Talent last year (2017), and a successful tour across the UK a few months back, Jamie Lee Harrison returns this week with his brilliant new single Powerful. Today (October 11), Female First can bring readers the exclusive world premiere of the track, which has the potential to be one of the most inspiring and emotive songs of 2018. Opening up as a strong, slow building, piano-led ballad with lush string arrangements, Powerful soon explodes into a pop soul offering for the ages, in which Jamie delivers a strong and passionate rallying call to allow listeners to unlock their own inner strengths.
Speaking about the experience creating Powerful, Jamie says: "I wrote this song about overcoming my own personal fears and breaking through boundaries; battling the lack of self-belief that has held me back. I believe that every single person has a fire inside them, a passion and drive to fulfil. Some of us need help to ignite it. The message is that each individual is powerful in their own way. We can take control of that power, whether it’s gaining the courage to achieve our goals or just being comfortable in our own skin."
To celebrate the release of Powerful, Jamie has also announced his biggest headline concert to-date, which takes place tomorrow (October 12) at Newcastle Cathedral. There, he'll perform Powerful for the first time, as well as last year's releases Reflection, and Say You Love Me. A full live band and special guests will also be in attendance.
His debut single When We Meet - which reached number eight in the official UK independent singles chart - will also make up part of the night's set list.
Powerful is officially released across digital platforms for download and streaming from tomorrow, October 12, 2018.
