Bryan Singer has revealed the first piece of concept art from the already highly anticipated X-Men: Apocalypse.
Singer returned to the X-Men franchise last year when he helmed the critical and commercial success that was X-Men: Days of Future Past. Singer and co have already started work on X-Men: Apocalypse, which is due to start shooting in April.
Singer has now taken to his Instagram account to tease fans with this new piece of artwork, he wrote: "Some production art. #XmenApocalypse #GrantMajor I was a little busy but will continue to snap more."
Singer will be back in the director's chair for the film, while James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult will also be reprising their roles as Professor Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, and Beast. There are rumours that Hugh Jackman could also be back as Wolverine.
Before Christmas, it was announced that Oscar Isaac had been cast as Apocalypse, while recently Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan, and Alexandra Shipp have joined the cast as young versions of Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Storm. We also may be seeing Channing Tatum take on the role of Gambit for the first time.
Nothing is known about the plot at the moment, but it is already one of the 2016 movies that I am really looking forward to.
Days of Future Past was one of the big movie success of last year, as it went on to gross in excess of $748 million at the global box office. This saw the movie end 2014 as the fifth highest grossing movie of the year behind Transformers: Age of Extinction, The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Maleficent.
