Taylor Swift has landed a role in new movie The Giver.
Swift is set to join an all star cast as Meryl Streep, Jeff Bridges and Brenton Thwaites are already on board the project.
The movie is based on the novel of the same name by Lois Lowry and the Weinstein Company will produce.
Alexander Skarsgard is also believed to be being considered for a role in the film.
'The Giver' is set in a dystopian society, which is disturbed when a 12-year-old boy named Jonas (Thwaites) is selected to learn from an elderly man, The Giver (Bridges), about the pain and strife of the real world.
Streep's alter-ego is in charge of keeping order in the society, but that authority is put in danger when the youngster is chosen to be the receiver of memories of life before the 'sameness movement', which froze the population and created conformism.
The Giver is not the first movie that Swift has starred in after landing a role in Valentine's Day and lending her voice to The Lorax.
