Released to critical-acclaim and record-breaking numbers in the box office, it’s fair to say that Warner Bros. Pictures have done incredibly well with their Stephen King adaptation, IT. Brought to life by director Andrés Muschietti, the film has managed to capture much of what readers found terrifying in the original novel, and now a sequel has even been confirmed with a planned release in 2019.
With children disappearing in the town of Derry, Maine, it’s up to a bunch of kids usually seen as the outcasts to square off against an evil clown named Pennywise. The evil entity isn’t new to the game however, with a history of murder and violence that dates back for hundreds of years.
You can check out a brilliant new featurette from the film, ‘Facing Evil’ below:
Bill Skarsgård takes on the role of the villainous Pennywise in the movie, with a hugely talented roster of youngsters filling out the cast, including Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Finn Wolfhard, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Nicholas Hamilton.
Chase Palmer and Cary Fukunaga put together the screenplay alongside Gary Dauberman, with Dan Lin, Roy Lee, Seth Grahame-Smith, David Katzenberg and Barbara Muschietti producing. Marty P. Ewing, Doug Davison and Jon Silk serve as executive producers.
