Ice Age is one of the most successful animation franchises of all time and Ice Age: Collision Course is set to be the next film in the popular series.
Collision Course is the fifth film in the franchise and the first since Ice Age: Continental Drift back in 2012.
We are going to have to wait until next summer before the film to hit the big screen, but the first image and teaser poster have been unveiled:
John Leguizamo, Ray Romano, and Denis Leary are back to voice the central characters of Sid, Manny and Diego. Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes, and Jennifer Lopez are also back.
There are some new voices and characters to watch out for as Stephanie Beatriz, Adam DeVine, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Max Greenfield, Jessie J, Nick Offerman, Melissa Rauch, Michael Strahan and Neil deGrasse Tyson are also on board.
There's no change in the director's chair for the fifth Ice Age movie, as Mike Thurmeier and Galen T. Chu reunite.
Scrat's epic pursuit of the elusive acorn catapults him into the universe where he accidentally sets off a series of cosmic events that transform and threaten the Ice Age World.
To save themselves, Sid, Manny, Diego, and the rest of the herd must leave their home and embark on a quest full of comedy and adventure, travelling to exotic new lands and encountering a host of colourful new characters.
2016 is going to be a great film if you are a fan of animation movies and Ice Age: Collision Course is just one of the movies that you cannot afford to miss.
Ice Age: Collision Course is released summer 2016.
