Adam Brody credits Amanda Seyfried with getting him his part in 'Lovelace'.
The 33-year-old actor portrays porn star Harry Reems in the biopic of X-rated actress Linda Lovelace - played by Seyfried - and he believes his 'Jennifer's Body' co-star must have recommended him to the movie's producers.
He said: "I loved working with her in 'Lovelace'. We were both in 'Jennifer's Body' in 2009 as well. I think it was probably down to her that I got this job."
Brody - who is dating Leighton Meester - shot to fame playing Seth Cohen in US teen drama series 'The O.C.', and while he doesn't expect to revisit his alter-ego, he admits his comic book-loving character would be seen as "cool" following the recently flurry of successful superhero movies.
He added to Now magazine: "'The O.C.' was what I did instead of college. We had a lot of fun on that show. I don't think there'll ever be a reunion but I'm proud of it.
"People called Seth, my character in 'The O.C.', a geek, but liking comic books is cool now. Look at all the big movies based on comics, like 'Batman'. The definition of geek has changed a lot.
"I wouldn't go back to playing him though - that's in my past. I want to look forward. I still speak to Ben McKenzie, who played Ryan. Ben's a great guy. He's done really well."
