Aaron Eckhart

Aaron Eckhart says that he is keen to move into the director's chair as soon as possible.

The actor us back on the big screen this week as he teams up with Gerard Butler for Olympus Has Fallen.

And while he does have other movies in the pipeline it seems that Eckhart is keen to move behind the camer.

When asked by Den of Geek if directing was some thing he was looking to move into he said:One hundred percent. As soon as possible.

He went on to says that he wasn't just waiting for the right project to come along but taking steps to find it.

"I’m not really waiting for that, I’m actively seeking that out, and that’s why I haven’t worked for a while and why I’m producing.

"I’m not so keen on working for other people’s point of views anymore, their vision, I want to do my own thing and be responsible for my own performance, whereas in movies where you’re just an actor it’s very difficult for you guys to see the performance that we gave, because the movie’s just cut up.

"I have a saying: 'I can make a bad movie as good as anyone,' so that’s what I’m going to go and do."

Olympus Has Fallen sees the actor team up with filmmaker Antoine Fuqua while Morgan Freeman and Angela Bassett are also on the cast list.

The actor has also completed work on I, Frankenstein which will be out next year.
