Skyfall
Skyfall, The Dark Knight Rises, The Avengers and The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey have all made the shortlist for the Visual Effects Academy Award.
Many may be talking about which of the blockbusters could have a chance of a Best Picture nod but this is the category where they really do feature heavily.
The list will be cut down to just five contenders for the Oscar in early January - some of the biggest movies of the year are on this list.
The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rising, Skyfall and The Amazing Spider-Man are four of the top five grossing movies of the year and they are all in contention for the award.
