The teaser trailer for Anchorman 2 has been released online.
The sequel to Will Ferrell's beloved newsroom comedy does not even start shooting until next year, but after the wave of excitement that met the announcement of the follow-up, a trail has been hastily put together featuring the princpiple cast, NME reports.
The clip has been playing in the US before prints of The Dictator but it has now been made officially available. You can watch the video below.
Featuring Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, along with his Channel 4 news team colleagues, as played by Paul Rudd, Steve Carrell and David Koechner, the clip sees them announce their return with trademark bravado. Christina Applegate does not appear as Veronica Corningstone. While director Adam McKay has suggested that she will most likely return for the movies, it seems that producers wanted to play up the idea of the foursome.
McKay has previously suggested that the movie will be set in the late 1970s, and could feature a custody battle, presumably between Burgundy and Corningstone, who settled down together at the end of the first film. Anchorman: The Legend Continues is due for release sometime in 2013.
