Indiana Jones is one of the most iconic big screen heroes of all time, and Temple of Doom is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

It was back in 1984 when Indy returned to the big screen with Steven Spielberg in the director's chair - the movie also introduced us to the characters of Willie Scott and Short Round for the first time: played by Kate Capshaw and Jonathan Ke Quan.

- Willie Struggles In The Jungle
Willie Scott was one of the new additions to the cast list in Temple of Doom, and she was a woman who was use to the finer things in life... needless to say she was not an outdoor girl.
So when Scott finds herself in the jungle with Indy and Short Round as they travel to Pankot, she does not settle into her surroundings all that well.
Scott is best known for her screaming in Temple of Doom, and this scene shows that the actress was in fine voice.
- Dinner Scene
Once at Pankot Palace Indy, Willie and Short Round enjoy some fantastic hospitality, and are looking forward to a great evening meal.
Willie is dressed up to the nines - hoping to win the heart of the Maharajah and assure herself a life of luxury.
However, the Maharajah is a lot younger than she was expecting, and the menu isn't quite to her tastes. I think Short Round was not that impressed either.
- 'We Are Going To Die!'
When you are moments from certain death, relying on Willie Scott to save you will perhaps not fill you with confidence that you will live.
Indy and Short Round have to call on the services of Willie when they find themselves caught out by booby traps in a hidden tunnel under Pankot Palace.
But with the underground tunnel crawling with bugs and Willie having to get dirty to save Indy and Short Round, she cuts it pretty fine.
- Human Sacrifice
The human sacrifice scene introduces us to the film's villain Mola Ram, who leads the worship to Hindu goddess Kali.
Indy, Willie, and Short Round sit and watch this secret offering to the gods that has not been seen by those outside the faith for many many years.
Throughout the ritual, we learn that Mola Ram is in possession of three of the five Sankara stones and have enslaved children to help mine for the final two stones.
- Mine Car Chase
The mine car chase is one of the most iconic moments from Temple of Doom, and come towards the end of the film as out trio try to flee the enemy.
The mine car chase takes the audience through a great underground maze with danger around every corner.
This sequence remains one of the best moments in the Indiana Jones franchise, and is still one of my favourite from the film.
Other great scenes from Temple of Doom include the aeroplane crash with white water ride, Short Round coming to the aid of Indy and the bridge scene that sees our hero save the day.
