The Ultimate Superhero is telepathic, drives a high-tech car of the future, wields metal claws and wears a mask which changes based on his emotions according to film fans.
To mark the release of latest comic book adaptation Captain America: The First Avenger, LOVEFiLM asked 3,000 film fans to identify what makes The Ultimate Superhero.
The ideal crusader would don the mask of vigilante Watchmen member Rorschach to safeguard his identity (27 per cent), protect his torso with Batman's rubber suit (27 per cent) and fend off foes with Wolverine's metal claws (38 per cent), a must-have for fighting the most dangerous villains.
Iron Man's mechanical suit also proved a popular choice claiming a fifth of the vote, narrowly missing out on the top spot to Gotham's bat-like protector.
Ensuring they are the best of the best, The Ultimate Superhero would be kitted out with Batman's super-fast, state-of-the-art Batmobile (29 per cent) as well as the Dark Knight's utility belt (17 per cent).

“Of course we all wish we had the claws of Wolverine or cruised along in the Batmobile, but I really expected Superman and Spiderman's powers to feature higher up the list.
