Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close

We haven’t seen Sandra Bullock grace the big screen since her Oscar winning turn in The Blind Side, and that was back in 2010.

But next February sees the actress return in the latest movie project from Stephen Daldry, Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.

And there are already Oscar whispers surrounding this movie and Bullock’s performance, she has been an early tip for a Best Supporting actress nod next year.

But Bullock is not the only Oscar winner on the cast list as she teams up with Tom Hanks as they bring the novel of Jonathan Safran Foer to life on the big screen.

And a talented cast supports them as Viola Davis, Jeffery Wright and Jon Goodman are all set to star - the movie will also introduce us the new talent of Thomas Horn, he takes on the central role of Oskar.

Eleven-year-old Oskar Schell is an exceptional child: amateur inventor, Francophile, pacifist.

And after finding a mysterious key that belonged to his father, who died in the World Trade Centre on 9/11, he embarks on an exceptional journey - an urgent, secret search through the five boroughs of New York.

As Oskar roams the city, he encounters a motley assortment of humanity, who are all survivors in their own way.

Ultimately, Oskar’s journey ends where it began, but with the solace of that most human experience: love.

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is a movie that already seems to be surrounded in excitement - and when we are set to see Bullock team up with Hanks that comes as no real surprise.

I feel that this one might be a bit of an emotional ride - get your tissues at the ready!

Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is released 3rd February
