Marc Jacobs is reportedly "estranged" from his family.
According to the new tell-all biography, 'Champagne Supernovas',by Maureen Callahan, the fashion designer no longer has a relationship with his siblings and his uncle, following a "complicated" upbringing.
New York Post journalist, Maureen, details how Marc's ties with his relatives were severed by family issues including the death of his father and coping with his mentally ill mother, Judy.
Marc, 51 - who has dressed the likes of Miley Cyrus and Kendall Jenner - eventually went to live with his grandmother Helen while his siblings were taken in care.
According to the New York Post, Marc's uncle Jeffrey Weisbord told the author: "That's when Marc stopped communicating with his sister and brother."
Jeffrey also blames Helen for isolating Marc from his siblings.
He added: "She did everything she could to alienate him from everybody."
Meanwhile, the US-born designer previously told GQ magazine: "I never believed that idea that you're supposed to love the members of your family. I hate the idea of obliged feelings -- I just think that's a huge waste of time ... I can't think of anyone as detached from their family as I am."
