Amy Schumer's eye liner for the Met Gala took 40 minutes to apply.
The 34-year-old actress' makeup artist Andrea Tiller spent almost one hour drawing on the cat eye flick prior to the exclusive event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday night (02.05.16), which concealed an intricate "futuristic shape" on the eye lid, which was only visible when the blonde beauty closed her eyes.
Speaking about the preparation and makeup design which was created to fit the Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology theme for the star-studded party, Andrea said: "The cat eye look took about 40 minutes to achieve! We had two hours for glam so a lot of the work went into prepping the skin beforehand so the make-up looks flawless and fresh!
"The direction for the make-up was to compliment the dress. We took a classic approach to the eyes and made it really edgy and cool with the statement cat eye liner, and when Amy looks down, there is a futuristic shape to the liner -it's not a straight line. It has edges that are different and unexpected when she looks down which also makes it special."
The 'Trainwreck' star wore an off-the-shoulder Alexander Wang gown to the Met Gala - which was hosted by Anna Wintour - and she revealed she dabbed deodorant in between her legs before gracing the red carpet to prevent her legs from chaffing.
She captioned a video of her using the roll on product on her thighs, which she captioned: "No chafe #nothighgapnoproblem (sic)"
Other fashion highlights from the red carpet included Jourdan Dunn in an embellished dress by Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing and Rosie Huntington Whiteley who adorned a sleek all white asymmetric floor length gown.
