Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld has created a set of commemorative coins to mark the 125th anniversary of Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel's birthday.
The coins feature a portrait of the designer in one of her signature flat bow hats on one side and the number 5 on the other, to represent their face value of five euros and a s a reference to the design house's signature scent.
The coins come with a string of pearls and COCO around the edges and are finished with Lagerfeld's signature and the label's renowned quilting effect, or "matelassé", on the reverse side.
The five ounce collector's coins come in four different denominations - two in silver and two in gold. There will be 99 gold coins which cost 5,900 euros and 11,000 of the silver coins.
The coins will be available from December 1.
