Beyonce

Beyonce

Beyonce is a multi-talented lady, of that we have no doubt. She's just finished recording her new album, been hailed as a fashionista thanks to modelling a sexy leotard in her new video and she's also found time to star as Etta James in a new movie.

Beyonce's style has changed over the years, and this has been evident in her film roles too. Beyonce seems to have a knack for retro style in her movies, and this suits her and her vivid personality. We loved her 70s style in Austin Powers and her sexy 60s look that she sported in Dreamgirls.

Her current part as Etta James in Cadillac Records has also been causing a stir- not least because Beyonce sports a cropped blonde wig for the film. She's getting a bit of a reputation for portraying singing legends, after she was rumoured to be portraying Diana Ross in Dreamgirls, a story thought to be based upon The Supremes.

We take a look at Beyonce's fashion though film moments to see how much she's changed...

Fighting Temptations

Yes, we don't really remember this film either, but it was at that transitional period when Beyonce was just branching into films. Is it just us, or does she look really skinny here? and she looks quite bland too. Head to toe in black and crimped hair may not be her best look, but she still looks naturally stunning.

Austin Powers in Goldmember

Foxxy Cleopatra was a bit of a revelation in the third film in the franchise, mainly because people thought she was an odd choice to play Austin's sidekick. Nevertheless, we're loving all of her 70s fashion moments, including that rocking 'fro and baker boy hat.

The Pink Panther

Again, not a film that was widely recognised or received in the UK, but who cares- just look at that hat! Beyonce looks the epitome of glamour in this picture with her long locks, flawless skin and bootylicious body, she looks gorgeous. Her best look so far, we think!

Dreamgirls

This film got more publicity for Beyonce's crazy maple syrup diet, than it did for her acting skills. But all that aside, we loved her look in this movie, as the fashion starts in the late 60s and follows through, giving us plenty of amazing fashion that time has forgot.

Cadillac Records

We quite like Beyonce in this cropped wig- she looks very classy and that peachy coloured dress really compliments her skin tone. Beyonce seems to be most comfortable in clothing from past eras, and we think that's great, considering more and more Hollywood starlets look so alike these days.
