Recently crowned as the celebrity with the most beautiful hair, Cheryl Cole has been through many hair changes to get that famous barnett awarded with such a prestigious honour.
The X Factor judge has emerged as the star of the show this year, showcasing her amazing style each week, that's seen her named as a fashion icon several times over.
When she first joined Girls Aloud however, we're sure Cheryl would be the first to admit that her hair and style wasn't as groomed as it is now. Their first single, Sound of the Underground featured Cheryl looking slightly tomboyish, channeling Mel C in her Spice Girl days.
Her hair was pulled into a tight ponytail and was an unflattering dark brown colour, but despite this Cheryl still had a natural beauty that would develop as the years went by.
Soon after for the bands second single, all the girls underwent something of an image change, but it was Cheryl who experienced the most severe change, having her long locks cut into an unflattering bob.
It was around this time that she was facing some private turmoil, after being accused of making racist remarks to a toilet assistant in a London nightclub, and pictures of a stressed looking Cheryl emerged with dodgy blonde streaks added to her bob.
Although this was not the most flattering look seen on the Geordie star, she was soon back to her stylish best by adding some extensions to her locks, until the bob grew out. We loved her new professional blonde streaks that she had added, which took her to a soft brown colour, but the style itself was still a bit safe and boring.
Enter The Show...This was the first single from the girl's second album, which saw Cheryl experimenting with longer locks and ditching the straighterns in favour of some natural waves. However, Wake Me Up saw her return to her roots so to speak, with dark long locks that were cut into layers and straightened severely.
The release of mega hit, Biology saw Cheryl experimenting with back combing her hair, which would later become her signature style. Her hair stayed in the same style for a while, until Call The Shots featured the lovely lady with a chunky fringe and high ponytail, which was slightly reminiscent of her Sound of the Underground days, only this time she looked stylish and chic.
The new look wasn't to last however, as Cheryl then ditched the new fringe in favour of new extensions and a more caramel coloured hair-do. Thus the Cheryl bouffant was born and a true style icon emerged.
