We’re all guilty of it, having the same lunch every single day because we’re stuck in a lunch time routine.
So why not give something new and deliciously tasty a go? These gourmet lamb pittas are packed with delicious lamb and will leave you feel satisfied rather than disappointed when lunch is over.
Gourmet Lamb Pittas
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 8 minutes
Serves: 2
Ingredients:
For the patties -
200g minced lamb
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 red chilli, finely chopped
1tsp each of cumin and coriander, or to taste
1 egg, beaten
Seasoning
1tbsp vegetable oil
To fill the pitta breads -
2 Mission sweet chilli pitta breads
1 tub tzatziki
1 small jar roasted red peppers, drained and chopped
Crunchy lettuce
Method:
1. To make the lamb patties combine all the ingredients together well and shape into 6 patties, press down to flatten slightly.
2. Heat the oil and fry for 6 – 7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
3. Sprinkle the pitta breads with a little water, warm through, slice open and fill with tzatziki, red pepper, lettuce and the lamb patties.
