Madonna is facing has been branded a 'crypto-Satanist'by high profile campaigners who are protesting about her upcoming concert in Warsaw.
The Material Girl has come under fire for planning her performance in Poland on the day of the the Assumption of Mary feast - a special holy date in the Catholic Church.
In June (09), representatives for the Catholic community urged Madonna to move her Sticky & Sweet show to another day, but she flatly refused.
Now, representatives from nationalist group Pro Polonia, as well as former politicians, including ex-president Lech Walesa, have slammed the star's actions.
In a news conference about the upcoming concert, Pro Polonia rep Marian Baranski said, "Madonna specialises in offending religious feelings... It is possible to suspect her of being a crypto-Satanist."
While former member of parliament Zygmunt Wrzodak added, "Madonna sneers at Jesus Christ, the symbol of the cross and all Christians."
Madonna is no stranger to religious controversy - she was ordered to promise not to blaspheme at her gig in Russia this month (Aug09), and was previously been condemned by the Vatican during her risque Blonde Ambition tour in the 1990s.
