What does it mean to dream about a beard?

To dream about a beard signifies a part of your personality that is experienced.

Perhaps you need to put this experience to better use or maybe someone could benefit from your wealth of expertise in whatever area you excel in.

It can also represent maturity- maybe you need to be more mature in a situation in your waking life or perhaps you are being too serious and you need to let go and relax a little.

It’s possible you have needed to make a lot of adult decisions lately, if you are taking on more responsivity or having to fend for yourself for the first time in your life. Or you may want to take on more responsibly at home or at work and you yearn for the step up.

On the flipside, you might just want to avoid looking stupid or childish- you don’t want to embarrass yourself in front of others. So, you are overcompensating by approaching everything like someone older than your years.

If you are a woman dreaming of a having or seeing a beard, you may wish to adopt a more masculine role in your job. You might want to be more assertive or have more power in your life- you have a masculine side of your personality that you might want to let out.

If the beard was long and white, this is linked to wisdom, old age and insight and feeling bored by situations that others may struggle with.

Beards are also thought to be synonymous with hiding things- is there something you are concealing in your waking hours? Your true feelings? Something you’ve said or done? Perhaps you are deliberately being deceptive about something.

Beards are an expression of individuality, so maybe you need to stand out from the crowd and be yourself. Or perhaps you have gone too far in the opposite direction and your need to be so different is hindering your relationships and your professional progress.

It could be that you simply don’t care what others think of you and it is suddenly freeing not to be bound to societal norms.

If you had a beard in the dream and you were shaving it off- you may have a desire to show people the real you- or at least be a bit more open. Perhaps there is something you want to say to someone but you’re holding back so you can express it in the right way.
