Kyra Sedgwick things her daughter Sosie Bacon impressed as Miss Golden Globe because she was "really calm".
The 21-year-old aspiring actress took the title - which is given to the child of a celebrity and enables them to network in their own right - and, as part of the role, helped hand out trophies at last night's (12.01.14) Golden Globe Awards and her famous parents Kyra Sedgwick and Kevin Bacon thought she did very well in such a high-profile position.
Kyra told USA Today newspaper: "She was great, really calm, really relaxed. They've asked her before and this year was a good year for her. She wants to be an actress."
'The Closer' star insisted she kept the advice she gave to her daughter to a minimum.
Asked if she had given her any tips, she said: "Just to practice in her shoes."
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, Kevin said he had been impressed with how hard Sosie had worked as Miss Golden Globe.
He said: "I'm actually sort of astounded at how easily she has slipped into this.
"The last couple of days, she's been up at the crack of dawn and going around and doing interviews. She not only enjoys it, but she's really comfortable in it. I don't really know how you get that. I know I wasn't that way when I started doing interviews and I don't know if Kyra was either, but [Sosie] seems to take to it pretty easily."
And it seems likely that Sosie will have heeded her mother's advice as she recently admitted she was "terrified" of falling over on stage.
She said: "I'm terrified [of tripping in my heels]. I think I'm going to do OK, because I kind of have a couple of days to try out the heels and make sure I can stand for so long."
