Little Mix's Jesy Nelson has hit back at comments the band are too provocative.
The 25-year-old singer took to the band's Instagram account ahead of the BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards on Sunday (23.10.16) to share a picture of herself wearing a long T-shirt and thigh high boots amid concerns that the 'Black Magic' hitmakers are getting too sexy.
Defending herself against comments that the band are too racy, the bottom of the T-shirt read: "Too provocative?"
And she simply captioned the photo: "Teen Awards."
The news comes after former Spice Girls star Mel C said she loved the 'Salute' singers' but didn't like how raunchy they had been getting.
She said: "I love Little Mix. I loved them from 'The X Factor'. I just thought they were so different.
"But they are getting more provocative. To me, they were kind of the closest thing to the Spice Girls we've seen. "They are all gorgeous and great singers. But they weren't sexy and it's got more and more that way. I love them - but I just say, 'Stay you'."
Mel also claimed that she has banned her seven-year-old daughter Scarlett from watching the band's music videos because she thinks they're too racy.
She added: "She is a massive Little Mix fan but I've started to be more sparing in what I show her. I don't let her watch videos by artists that aren't appropriate for her. That makes me a bit sad.
"All young women want to look sexy and hot so I understand it's hard. But I think it's such a shame. We live in a narcissistic age - it's 100 per cent worse than when I was in the Spice Girls.
"It was a more innocent time, although we were slammed for wearing crop tops."
Following Mel's comments, the band - completed by Perrie Edwards, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh Anne Pinnock - caused wider controversy when they performed their new single 'Shout Out to My Ex' on 'The X Factor', as some viewers slammed their skimpy outfits.
