LeAnn Rimes' ex-husband was blindsided by her affair with Eddie Cibrian.
Dean Sheremet - who was married to the country singer between 2002 and 2009 - has opened up about his ex-wife's infidelity with her 'Northern Lights' co-star in 2009, saying he "never saw it coming".
He candidly told Access Hollywood: "I had a call from LeAnn. She said, 'Well, Us Weekly may or may not have a picture of me and Eddie kissing.' I'm like, 'Whoa! What do you mean may or may not have a picture? What does that mean?' So, then it was a whole ... yeah, it unfolded from there."
"I mean, of all the things that I could have ever imagined would have happened, I never would have thought that]. I guess you have that assumption that the person that you're with would never do something like that. How close we were, I just never saw it coming. If anyone would have seen it, I thought that I would have."
LeAnn, 31, and Eddie, 40, began secretly seeing each other in 2009 while she was wed to Dean, 32, and Eddie was married to 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Brandi Glanville, 40.
LeAnn and Eddie tied the knot in 2011 but she has found herself in a public feud with her husband's former spouse for the better part of three years.
Dean admits he has no contact with his ex-wife since their divorce was finalised in 2010, but holds no ill will towards her.
He added: "We don't really talk. I have no animosity towards her. I have nothing but love for her, and I really wish her the best. But we don't really talk that much. There's not really a need to. I don't really know what we would talk about."
