1)I hate clowns. They have always creeped me out ever since I saw the movie IT when I was younger and I can never understand why parents are so quick to hire them for children's birthday parties.

2)I love tennis. It has always been my favourite sport to watch and play. I'm not overly sporty to begin with. Luckily it was one sport that I could excel at. My dream one day is to attend Roland Garros and Wimbledon. They are my favourite tournaments to watch and Nadal is by far my favourite player to watch.

3) My husband and I met at the theatre. He was playing Sweeney Todd at the Gate Theatre and I was rehearsing for Noel Coward's Private Lives. I caught a performance of his show which I loved, we were introduced at the Gate bar afterwards where he coaxed his friend into getting my phone number and the rest, as they say, is history.

4) Poetry has always been a love of mine. So much so that I wrote a poetry book entitled Pink Moon which was published in America in 2006. Some of my favourite poets are Michael Longley, Eavan Boland and Maya Angelou.

5) My first theatre role out of acting college was playing the title role in Oscar Wilde's Lady Windermere's Fan. I had several auditions and I thought I was being considered for another part when they offered me the lead. I was 21 at the time and it was so exciting.

6)I lived in New York when I was younger and then returned to Dublin for my secondary education. I feel like I'm from both places and it is probably the reason that I feel like a bit of a nomad,

7)I hate peanut butter so much that I tell people that I am allergic so as I never have to come into contact with it.

8)I have been a huge Bob Dylan fan ever since I went to see a wonderful exhibition of his life and music at the Morgan Library in New York. It took me on a journey of his albums and influences throughout the years.

9)I love to sew and when I have free time, which these days seems few and far between, I love to make certain items for my wardrobe. I find sewing very cathartic. It is a great time to switch off and go into a different mode.

10) I love France. A couple of years ago, myself and my husband spent a whole year living there. It was such a wonderful experience living in the countryside and experiencing the culture first hand.
