The upcoming Mani Ratnam project is getting more interesting by the day thanks to its unusual casting. As per a section of media, the master filmmaker's new Hindi-Tamil bilingual, tentatively titled RAVAN appears to be a modern day 'Ramayan' adaptation of sorts. For that matter it seems like Mani is considering Aditya Panscholi or the top Tamil actor Vikram to play the title character. Abhishek and Aishwarya are already there as the lead pair and now the buzz is that Govinda has been roped in too. It was being reported that Govinda would be playing Abhishek's brother in the film. That makes him Laxman perhaps but few sources have confirmed that his character is modeled on Hanuman! The film will go on floors by the year-end. Apart from the above project Govinda has also managed to bag a very lucrative offer, a 3 film deal running into crores with a corporate giant. He has his hands full with big banner films with filmmakers like Subhash Ghai, Mira Nair and Abbas-Mustan.
